The Salt and Soul Table

I’m a firm believer in real food—the kind that nourishes the soul, fills the kitchen with inviting aromas, and gathers the people you love around the table.  To me, healthy eating shouldn’t feel like a chore or a complex math equation.  It should be an act of joy.

My passion goes beyond the plate; it’s about helping you build a positive, intuitive relationship with what you eat. There’s something deeply satisfying about discovering how a few quality ingredients and a bit of kitchen “know-how” can transform a meal from a daily hurdle into the highlight of your day.

A Holistic Approach to the Whole Self

As a nutritionist currently completing my journey to become a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Wellness Coach, I advocate for a “whole-person” philosophy. We aren’t just filling stomachs; we are nourishing lives.  I don’t believe in restrictive diets or fleeting quick fixes. Instead, I focus on balanced eating that fits into the beautiful chaos of real life—busy schedules, picky eaters, and genuine cravings included.

My approach comes from my childhood just as much as my studies.  I grew up with Traditional Chinese Medicine, and it has stayed close to my heart ever since.  I can still smell the earthy herbal teas my mother brewed whenever we were sick, and I still hear her telling me to slow down and keep my body warm.

These lessons became my lifeline later in life.  Dealing with many health challenges taught me firsthand that food truly is medicine.  It wasn’t just about what I was eating; it was about how food could help me heal and feel like myself again.  That experience showed me that our food, our energy, and our feelings are all part of the same story.

The Magic of Tiny Hands in the Kitchen

Now that I’m a mother, I’m passing those chapters down.  One of my greatest joys is watching my children’s curiosity spark as they connect the dots between what they eat and how they feel.  Yes, the kitchen gets messy—but I’ve learned that the mess is exactly where lifelong healthy habits take root.

I believe in the beauty of moderation: savouring the decadent cake alongside the vibrant salad, and the comforting noodles next to the healing soup. When we eat with intention and a touch of joy, we nourish our hearts just as much as our bodies.
